Committee chairpersons volunteer (or are recruited) for the position
in the spring and are officially selected by the Executive
Board. A committee chairperson may
serve for two years and, once on the board, often has the advantage of being
in a position of priority for volunteering for a new position on a subsequent
board. Terms of service are from June to June.
